中國福利會國際和平婦幼保健院于1952年由新中國的締造者之一、國家名譽(yù)主席、中國福利會創(chuàng)始人宋慶齡先生親自創(chuàng)辦，是一所集醫(yī)療、保健、教學(xué)和科研為一體的三級甲等婦產(chǎn)科專科和婦幼保健醫(yī)院，現(xiàn)為上海交通大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院附屬醫(yī)院、國家級愛嬰醫(yī)院。醫(yī)院遵循“實(shí)驗(yàn)性、示范性、加強(qiáng)科學(xué)研究”的辦院方針，始終堅(jiān)持“全心全意為婦女兒童服務(wù)”的宗旨，榮膺全國“五一”勞動獎狀、全國文教衛(wèi)生先進(jìn)集體等榮譽(yù)稱號。
醫(yī)院現(xiàn)有核定床位480張，開放床位500張，職工1100余人，其中副高級以上專家近130人。年門診量約135萬人次，年出院病人超過5.1萬人次，年手術(shù)量超過5.9萬人次，孕產(chǎn)婦和圍產(chǎn)兒死亡率一直維持在低水平。設(shè)有產(chǎn)科、婦科、輔助生殖科、生殖遺傳科、計(jì)劃生育科、乳腺科、新生兒科等，是全國婦產(chǎn)科住院醫(yī)師規(guī)范化培訓(xùn)基地、全國助產(chǎn)士規(guī)范化培訓(xùn)基地,是衛(wèi)生部準(zhǔn)入的輔助生殖醫(yī)學(xué)中心、衛(wèi)生部四級婦科內(nèi)鏡手術(shù)培訓(xùn)基地、國家衛(wèi)計(jì)委準(zhǔn)入的高通量測序PGD和NIPT臨床應(yīng)用試點(diǎn)單位、國家孕產(chǎn)期保健和國家更年期保健兩項(xiàng)特色專科建設(shè)單位，VTE防治能力建設(shè)通過國家級認(rèn)證。上海市產(chǎn)前診斷質(zhì)控中心、上海市出生缺陷預(yù)防保健中心在院掛牌設(shè)立。
擁有婦產(chǎn)科學(xué)、兒科學(xué)博士學(xué)位點(diǎn)，臨床病理學(xué)、基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)、普外科學(xué)、麻醉學(xué)碩士學(xué)位點(diǎn)。設(shè)有上海市胚胎源性疾病重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、上海交通大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院出生缺陷與罕見病臨床研究院和上海交通大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院臨床研究中心分中心。先后與香港中文大學(xué)、加拿大不列顛哥倫比亞大學(xué)、香港大學(xué)合作成立聯(lián)合研究中心。承擔(dān)多項(xiàng)國家基金委重大國際合作項(xiàng)目（牽頭單位）、國家重大研發(fā)計(jì)劃（牽頭單位）、國自然重大重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目（子課題）。科研成果曾獲國家科技進(jìn)步二等獎、中華醫(yī)學(xué)科技一等獎、國家科技攻關(guān)重大成果獎、上海市科技進(jìn)步獎一等獎等。
為進(jìn)一步推進(jìn)婦女兒童事業(yè)的發(fā)展，上海市重大建設(shè)項(xiàng)目——醫(yī)院奉賢新院區(qū)將于2022年9月正式啟用，屆時將更好地服務(wù)于健康中國戰(zhàn)略和上海五大新城建設(shè)戰(zhàn)略。
The International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital of China Welfare Institute
The International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital (IPMCH) of China Welfare Institute(CWI), which was founded in 1952 by Mme. Soong Ching Ling, one of the founders of new China, the Honorary President of the People’s Republic of China, the founder of CWI. As an AAA grade hospital for gynaecology and obstetrics, maternal and children health care, IPMCH insists on the purpose of “being experimental and demonstrative, enhancing scientific research”, and the integration of medicine, health care, education and research. It has been honored as one of the affiliated hospitals of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, the national class “baby-friendly hospital”. IPMCH has inherited and carried forward the guideline of giving wholehearted service to women and children, and it has been honored the “National ‘May 1st’ Labor Day” Medal, and “National Advanced Group Award” and so on.
IPMCH has 480 beds approved, 500 beds available and above 1100 staffs ( involving more than 130 experts above title in vice-high class) in all. Annually, about 1,350,000 outpatients and above 51,000 inpatients get the personalized medical service, including more than 59,000 operations. The quality of medical care has approached advanced international standards. It has several clinical departments including Obstetrics, Gynecology, Reproductive, Reproductive Genetics, Family Planning, Breast Surgery, Neonatology and etc. IPMCH was authorized the National Standardized Residency Training Hospital, National Training Institute for Midwife. The Fertility Center has been established as one of the earliest batch and the national training institute for gynecologic laparoscope technology authorized by the Ministry of Health. Especially, IPMCH is the national clinical application pilot unit for PGD and NIPT. It has 2 national constructing projects for characteristic specialties of pregnant and prenatal care, climacteric care among women. Its construction of the capability for Prophylaxis and Treatment for VTE has passed the national certification. IPMCH is also authorized the Shanghai Prenatal Diagnosis Technology Quality Control Center and the Shanghai Birth Defects Prevention and Healthcare Center.
In the fields of education and research, IPMCH provides Doctorate degree programs (Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics) and the Master’s degree programs (Clinical Pathology, Basic Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesiology).
IPMCH has a Shanghai Key Laboratory of Embryo Original Diseases, the Clinical Research Center for Birth Defects and Rare Diseases, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It also cooperates with Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of British Columbia, University of Hong Kong to establish the Medicine Joint Research Centers. IPMCH presides over major international cooperation projects (the leading unit), key projects of the state key research and development plan (the chief unit) and key national projects (project leader unit).
The key awards of achievements in scientific research include the second prize of the “National Scientific & Technological Advancement Award”, the first prize of the “Chinese Medical Science Award”, National Awards for major achievements for National Tackling Key Problems in science and technology, the first prize of “Shanghai Medical Science & Technology Award”, etc.
For further promoting the development of programs for women and children, it will officially open another new hospital in Fengxian District in September 2022, which is a major construction project in Shanghai. In the near future, it will better serve the “Healthy China” strategy and the “Shanghai Five New Cities constructions” strategy.
