Dr. Bolor Bold, a medical doctor with a master's degree in epidemiology from South Korea, completed her Ph.D. in Switzerland, specializing in cystic echinococcosis. Since 2022, she has been an active member of the WHO expert panel developing guidelines for echinococcosis treatment. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at Shanghai Jiao-Tong University in China, under the supervision of Prof. Zhou Xiao-Nong. Dr. Bold's current focus is on enhancing regional zoonotic security through strengthened cooperation between China and Mongolia in controlling and preventing echinococcosis. By leveraging China's extensive expertise in this area, she aims to improve Mongolia's technical capacity and human resources for better disease control.
