In December 2020, Guo obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computational Biology at Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, China. Guo used computational methods to characterize the relationships between multi-omics and cancer essential genes in various biological context as well as computationally predicted cancer essential genes relating to genome-wide CRISPR knockout assays and synthetic lethality. He is currently using single-cell omics data to identify genes or modules that regulates pancreatic cancer stem cell differentiation.
