Yaru graduated at Qingdao University, School of Medicine. She majored in Preventive Medicine for her bachelor degree. In September 2020, she joined the Stem Cell & Cancer Lab at the Center for Single Cell Omics as a master student. Over the next 3 years, she is exploring liquid biopsies as molecular biomarkers for identifying individuals at high-risk for developing pancreatic cancer.
