Bio
Dr. Zhou graduated from Fudan University, majoring in Bioinformatics. She obtained a Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics in 2017 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Genetics and the Institute of Bioinformatics at the University of Georgia in 2020. Dr. Zhou conducts multidisciplinary research in genomics, nutrition, and medical informatics. Her cross-disciplinary research program focuses on investigating the etiology, progression, prevention, and surveillance of complex diseases. Her research interest is computational evolutionary genomics, with a focus on characterizing and understanding gene-environment interaction, gene expression evolution, pleiotropy, adaptation, and other important genetic and evolutionary phenomena.
