主題:“Mitochondria and cancer: oncometabolites and beyond”
報(bào)告人：Dr. Christian Frezza

報(bào)告人介紹：
Dr. Christian Frezza is group leader at the MRC Cancer Unit, Cambridge Cancer Center, UK. He uses a combination of biochemistry, metabolomics, and systems biology to investigate the role of altered metabolism in cancer. He got his MSc in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Padova, Ifaly, in 2002, He then joined the laboratory of Luca Scorrano in Padova to start a PhD on mitochondrial dynamics and apoptosis. In 2008, he moved to the Beatson Institute of Cancer Research in Glasgow, where he investigated the role of mitochondrial defects in tumorigenesis in Dr. Eyal Gottlieb’s lab. He moved to Cambridge in 2012 as a PI, to take up his current position as Group Leader in Cancer Metabolism. More than 70 articles were published in Nature, Cell, Nature Materials efc.
