The International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) is a leading global academic organization dedicated to autism research. Established in 2001, INSAR promotes diversity and global engagement, encouraging the exchange and dissemination of the latest scientific advances among autism researchers worldwide. At its annual meeting each May, INSAR provides a platform for international academic exchange and awards those who have greatly contributed to autism research.
From April 30 to May 3, 2025, the INSAR Annual Meeting was held in Seattle, USA. Scholars and clinicians from around the world gathered to discuss and share the latest progress in autism prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Professor Li Fei of Xinhua Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, was invited to attend the meeting. Her team delivered a presentation on the topic of “Etiology and Precision Intervention of Autism,” highlighting China’s achievements in building autism research cohorts and exploring its underlying causes. The presentation drew attention and acclaim from experts in attendance, showcasing China’s major breakthroughs in autism research and strengthening the global academic community’s focus on autism studies in China. It also helped to promote collaborative progress in autism research worldwide.
