Biography
Zhigui Ma: Female, Orthodontist, Post Doctor, Associate Chief Physician, Master’s Supervisor. Her research focuses on the clinical and basic research of alveolar bone and TMJ cartilage defect and regeneration. From 2002 to 2009, she finished 7-year program of Stomatology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During the master stage from 2007 to 2009, she studied under professor Fang Bing, a famous orthodontic expert. After graduation, she works on combined temporomandibular joint-orthodontic treatment and integrated alveolar surgery and orthodontic therapy in the department of oral surgery, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From 2013 to 2016, she studied for a doctor's degree under Professor Yang Chi, an expert in diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases (TMD). She is a committee member of temporomandibular joint and occlusion Committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, a committee member of orthodontics of Shanghai Stomatological Association and a member of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO). As the first author or the corresponding author, she published more than 20 articles, including 13 SCI articles. As the prime principal, she undertook 6 national or municipal level projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China. She authorized 10 patents. She won the second prize of national science and technology progress Award (8th), the second prize of Ministry of Education of science and technology progress Award (9th) and the first Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Award (9th). She invited to participate Domestic or International Academic Exchange Conferences in many regions or countries.
