Biography
Professor Zhongchen Song, doctoral supervisor, is now served as director of the Department of Periodontology, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is director of Teaching and Research section of Periodontology, College of Stomatology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is also the Standing Committee Member of the Periodontology Professional Committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, vice chairman of the Periodontology Professional Committee of the Shanghai Dental Association.
His research focuses on periodontal medicine (the mechanism of association between periodontitis and systemic diseases) and periodontal tissue regeneration. Professor Song is responsible for more than 10 research projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Committee of Science and Technology, Clinical Research Plan of SHDC , Clinical Research Program of 9th People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and so on. As the main researcher, he won the third prize of HuaXia Medical Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 2nd).
In clinical aspects, Professor Song specializes in the treatment of moderate and severe periodontitis and multidisciplinary joint treatment of periodontal disease. He also participates in the compilation and translation of five periodontal works.
