Biography
Dr. Shilei Zhang, chief physician, deputy director of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; College of Stomatology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He gained MD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine in 2004, finished fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Center, University of Munich, Germany in 2007, and was the visiting scholar of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Center, University of New York, USA in 2010.
Now he is the deputy head of HNS group, society of Reparative and Reconstructive Surgery of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine; standing committees membership of Chinese Society of Digital Medicine of Stomatology; standing committees membership of society of Oncology Plastic Surgery of CMHDC; committees membership of Chinese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; international faculty of AO International Association of Rigid Internal Fixation; associate editor of Journal of Oral Surgery which is official journal of British Association of Oral Surgeons; editors of Chinese Journal of Stomatology and Journal of Tissue Engineering and Reconstructive Surgery.
He majors in CMF trauma, orthognathic and reconstructive plastic surgery of deformities, specializing in computer-aided and intra-operative navigation surgery. His research interests includes comprehensive treatment of craniomaxillofacial deformities and application of navigation-guided and robotic-assisted craniomaxillofacial surgery. He has presided several research projects, which were supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Foundation of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Foundation, etc. participated in the formulation of 5 expert consensus items. He has published more than 50 papers in both Chinese and English, and more than 10 related patents. He has won 2 national science and technology awards and 3 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. In 2020, he was awarded the title of Shanghai Academic/Technology Leader.
