JIA Jie
Biography
Dr JIA received her PhD from University of Reading (UK) in 2009. From 2009 to 2013, she worked as a Postdoc Research Assistant and Research Associate at University of Reading and Durham University, respectively. Since 2014, Dr JIA has joined the Department of Nutrition, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and her research focused on the influence of dietary regulation of intestinal microecology on host health, the establishment of intestinal microecology in early life of infants and clinical influencing factors. She did oral presentations at ISAPP open Forum, BSRA Annual Conference and Cold Spring Harbor International Conference on Molecular Genetic Aging. As the first or corresponding author she published papers in Cell Reports, FEMS Microbiol Ecology, Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Journal of Pediatric Surgery and co-edited the book of Neonatal Nutrition. Dr JIA has been awarded fundings from National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Dr JIA’s teaching efforts include five undergraduate courses. She mentored the Innovation Projects of College Students many times. Undergraduates’ thesis supervised by Dr JIA were awarded as excellent dissertation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2020 and 2021. She was awarded as the "Top ten outstanding class tutor" of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2021. Dr JIA is a member of microecology Professional Committee of Shanghai Preventive Medical Association and youth Committee of Parenteral and enteral Nutrition professional of Shanghai Medical Association.
