Biography
Zhang Yucai, male, Professor II. He is currently the Director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine of Shanghai Children's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Vice President of the Institute of Pediatric Infection, Immunology and Critical Care Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Vice President of the Pediatric Critical Care Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Scientific Group of the Chinese Medical Association's Emergency Medicine Branch, and member of the Chinese Medical Association's Extracorporeal Life Support Branch. He received his PhD degree from Shanghai Medical University in 1995. From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He has long been engaged in clinical research on pediatric critical illnesses, leading 4 clinical multicenter studies on pediatric sepsis in Shanghai or nationwide. He has published 260 papers as 1st author or correspondent author, including 52 SCI (5 in Q1, highest single IF 12.074), and received 1 Chinese Medical Achievement Award. He was awarded one Chinese Medical Achievement Award, and one result was introduced into the 2020 Surviving Sepsis Campaign International Guidelines for the Management of Septic Shock and Sepsis-Associated Organ Dysfunction in Children".
