With 126 years of schooling history and 70 years of development, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine has fostered over 70,000 medical talents. On the 70th anniversary of SJTUSM, we will gather again to form the character system, including the mission of “serving the nation and serving the people”, the aim of “cultivating first-class talents, establishing first-class medical ethics, learning first-class knowledge, and creating first-class services”, the motto of “improving medical skills, and never slacking off”, the spirit of “inclusiveness, pragmatism, honesty and innovation, and sincere dedication”, and the style of “unity, diligence, truth-seeking, and enterprising”. As the Anniversary approaches, the following notice is made for teachers, students, medical staff, alumni and all sectors of society:
I. Academic activities
October 24, 2022 (Monday) is the 70th Anniversary of SJTUSM. We will hold the 70th Anniversary Conference of SJTUSM and the Shanghai International Medical Forum. Some 100 major academic activities organized by SJTUSM and its affiliated hospitals and secondary colleges will also be held before or after the anniversary.
II. Invitation to join the celebration of the 70th Anniversary
We warmly welcome alumni and medical talents to come to SJTUSM or participate in the upcoming “Online Anniversary” and “Online Return” activities in compliance with the requirements of the pandemic prevention and control policy. For group return activities organized spontaneously by alumni, including the return to SJTUSM on the 70th Anniversary, it is necessary to contact the alumni association in advance for better reception service due to the requirements of the pandemic prevention and control policy.
