Biography
Tao Tao, aged 45, the Deputy Director of Administration, Chief Physician and Postgraduate tutor of the Department of Endocrinology at Renji Hospital, Shanghai JiaoTong University School of Medicine, and the clinical research tutor and adjunct professor in the department of innovation in Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine at the Ottawa-Shanghai Joint School of Medicine.
The senior member of the Androgen Excess & PCOS Society of the United States, member of the Standing Committee of the Endocrine and Diabetes Branch of the Bai Qiu'en Spiritual Research Society, member of the Gestational Diabetes Group of the 8th Committee of the Chinese Medical Association Diabetes Branch, member of the 11th Committee of the Endocrine Specialist Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, deputy leader of the Endocrine Gonadology Group of the Shanghai Medical Association, young member of the 7th Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association Diabetes, member of the Seventh Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association for Diabetes, member of the Research Sub-Committee on Psychosomatic Medicine of the Chinese Medical and Health Culture Association, member of the Standing Committee of the Endocrine and Diabetes Sub-Committee of the Bai Qiu'en Spiritual Research Association, member of the Ninth Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association for Endocrinology and Metabolism. The reviewer for Clinical Endocrinology, Frontiers in Endocrinology and other academic journals and monographs.
Has published 49 papers in national and international journals, 32 of which are SCI-indexed, including 20 papers with first or corresponding authorship. Hosted 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, 3 Shanghai Science and Technology Commission (SSTC) projects. Participated in 1 sub-project under the National Key Research and Development Program of China, 3 projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The editor-in-chief of "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Endocrine Infertility" and the co-editor of 5 monographs. In 2018 was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of Residency Standardization Training in Renji Hospital. In 2005 was awarded the Outstanding Youth Reserve of Renji Hospital. Has been invited to give lectures at many academic conferences in China.
Main research directions include the study of the etiology and treatment strategies of metabolism-related reproductive abnormalities (polycystic ovary syndrome). Has visited the Department of Endocrinology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University in the United States, where conducted clinical and basic research on polycystic ovary syndrome and bone metabolism.
