HE Yongning
Biography
Dr. He obtained BS and MS from Fudan University and graduated from Purdue University with a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology. He did postdoctoral research at California Institute of Technology, then moved to Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology as a principal investigator in 2011. He is now a professor at Shanghai Cancer Institute, Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and PI of State Key Laboratory Oncogene and Related Genes. He was supported by Hundred Talent program of CAS and Shanghai Pujiang program.
Our group studies the structure and function of cell surface receptors, especially their roles in tumorigenesis and metastasis, using multiple biochemical and biophysical techniques including crystallography and electron microscopy, and also design and screen anti-tumor drugs based on the structures of the receptors.
