Dr. Huang’s teamfocusesonthefieldofreproductive medicine, the safety of assisted reproductive technology (ART)and gamete-embryo–fetal origins of adult diseases.
Using epidemiological analysis, many of her studies found the phenomenon that adverse exposures in the early life can increase the risk of chronic metabolic diseases in adulthood. Her research team also illustrated the underlying mechanism using molecular biology and epigenetic experiments.
Besides, Dr. Huang dedicates to the work of birth defects prevention, especially through preimplantation genetic technology (PGT) and noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT).Till date, she has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articlesinNature, Nature Medicine, PNAS...
