Biography
Dongmei Lai (1970-), professor of the department of obstetrics.She obtained her doctorate degree in Shanghai Medical Universityin 1998,. She was a postdoctoral fellow in School of Medicine of Yale University during 2004 to 2006.
Engaged in clinics, teaching and scientific research work for 27 years, she is qualified at diagnosis and treatment of the gynecological diseases. Her research is focused on stem cell and reproductive health, including the basic and clinical research on stem cell transplantation in the treatment of premature ovarian failure. She was the first to use human amniotic epithelial cell transplantation to treat the disease of premature ovarian failure, which is currently undergoing clinical trial. As the first author or correspondence author, she has published more than 80 SCI articles. She has undertaken more than 20 research projects, including theNational Key Research and Development Program of China, and the National Natural Science Foundation. She was awarded by Shanghai Pujiang talent scientist program, Shanghai health bureau outstanding scientist grant and Shanghai municipal education commission-Gaofeng clinical medicine grant support. As the first inventor, she has applied 16 national invention patents, and got 1 patent license from United States, and 5 national patents from China.
