Research Interests
Dr. XU’sresearches mainly focus on social and chemical environmental factors affecting children’s neuropsychological development. A series of in-depth studies on the impacts of heavy metals and micronutrients on children’s growth and development, and the impacts of children’s sleep, adolescents’ internet addiction and prenatal stress on children’s neurodevelopment have been conducted by her team. Her work has been supported by the National Nature Science Foundation of China four times. As the first author or corresponding author, she has published over 50 scientific papers, and about 30 English papers in peer-reviewed Science-Citation-Index journals. She published 5 monographs on children’s environmental health.
