Research Interests
Dr. LAI majored in Hepatology, mainly focusing on clinical and basic research on drug-induced liver injury (DILI), acute liver failure, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Her team was the first to discover that Th22 cells and IL-22 are potentially protective in liver injury and that IL-22 is closely related to disease progression in DILI, providing new ideas for the in-depth study of its immunological mechanism (J Hepatol. IF: 30.083).
She is clinically active, seeing patients five full days a week. Her responsibility is to diagnose and treat patients with various liver diseases, including liver injury, liver failure, hepatocellular carcinoma, et al.
