Research Interests
Dr. Chuanxin Minos Niu studied electrical engineering in Beijing Institute of Technology. He received Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago specialized in neurorehabilitation, co-advised at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dr. Niu completed his postdoctoral training at University of Southern California. His research focuses on how to apply intelligent technologies in the rehabilitation of neurological disorders including stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, etc. Dr. Niu served as invited reviewers for MIT press, CBS, IEEE TNSRE, etc. He has been continuously funded by national agencies including NSFC, Ministry of Science and Technology. His research highlight includes neuromorphic chip, neurofeedback, biomimetic neural control for prosthetics and therapeutic training.
