Research Interests
Mechanism of cardiovascular complications in diabetes mellitus, particularly the role of dysmetabolism of glucose and lipids, as well as glycation of lipoprotein (apoprotein) in the development of atherosclerosis, myocardial as well as macro- and micro- vascular disease.
Searching for clinical, biochemical, and molecular factors related to impaired collateral vessel formation in coronary artery disease patients with diabetes, in order to better stratification and coronary revascularization of these patients.

All studies aim to provide important insights in the understanding of pathophysiology and management of coronary artery disease (stable or/and acute coronary syndrome), especially for patients with diabetes mellitus.
