Research Interests
As a physician with more than 30 years national and global experience, Prof. Tian has comprehensive knowledge in clinical and basical field and carried out several projects on diabetes and metabolic diseases in Shanghai, the United States and Australia.
Her studies focus on (1) The association between Type 2 Diabetes and subsequent risk of cancer; (2) Effects of prediabetes and hypertension on subsequent occurrence of cardiovascular disease; (3) To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the beneficial metabolic effects induced by bariatric surgeries; (4) Role and molecular mechanism of MicroRNAs in the clinical remission of newly diagnosed type 2 Diabetes.
