Research Interests
Professor Wang’s research focused on novel clinical, translational, and epidemiological studies of genetic and environmental risk factors and gene-environment interactions for type 2 diabetes and related cardiometabolic diseases, including obesity, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease. She was awarded the Excellent Young Scholar (2020) by the National Natural Science Foundation and has been the Principal Investigator and co-investigator for over 10 research projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Wang has published over 50 scientific articles as first or corresponding author in first-class clinical or biomedical journals, including The BMJ, The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, The Lancet Healthy Longevity, JAMA Cardiology, Diabetes Care, Diabetes, and Diabetologia. She scored an H-index of 36 in 2022.
