Research Interests
Dr. Xu earned her Doctor of Philosophy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, and completed her post-doctoral work at Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Xu’s research focuses on the lifestyle/diet, metabolic, genetic determinants, and gene-environment interactions and risk of type 2 diabetes and related cardiometabolic diseases. She has published more than 100 publications including Circulation, Cell Research, Diabetes Care, etc. Dr. Xu has received grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and earned the “Shanghai Science and Technology Advancement Award”. She is “Shanghai Pujiang Talent” and member of the Chinese Diabetes Society (CDS).
