Research Interests
Dr. Xu received her Medical Degree from Nanjing Medical University in 2006 and her PhD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2011. Her research focuses on prevention, prediction, and management of diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases through prospective cohort studies and randomized controlled trials. She has published major research findings in high-impact journals such as JAMA, J Am Coll Cardiol, Lancet Diabetes Endocrinol, and J Am Soc Nephrol. She has received research funding from National Key R&D Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China. She has received national talent titles including the ‘Excellent Youth Scholar’ from National Natural Science Foundation and ‘Top Young Scholar’ of National Ten Thousands Talent Program.
