Research Interests
Prof. Zhan has been working on ultrasound medicine for more than twenty years. His clinical and research interests lie in the field of superficial organs (thyroid, parathyroid, breast, lymph node, etc) and he plays a strong leadership in ultrasonic diagnosis and intervention treatment of thyroid cancer in China. He leads the establishment of Chinese thyroid imaging reporting and data system (C-TIRADS) and leads the expert consensus on the use of laser ablation for papillary thyroid microcarcinoma. His articles are widely published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has authored many book chapters. Prof. Zhan is the deputy head of the Superficial Team of the Expert Committee on Capacity Building and Continuing Education of Ultrasound Medicine of the National Health Commission. He was selected as “Good Doctors of the People in 2020”.
