Research Interests
Dr Zhang started his career in Ruijin Hospital since 1987, and is now the chief director of the orthopaedic department of Ruijin hospital, vice director of the shanghai institute of orthopedics and traumatology, the president of Shanghai Orthopaedic Quality Control Center, and president of Shanghai Medical Association, Branch of Orthopaedics. He has accomplished the visiting scholarship in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Standford Medical Center, as well as villingen-schwenningen traumatology center. Dr. Zhang has extraordinary expertise in musculoskeletal oncology, metabolic bone diseases as well as oncological orthopedics that span over three decades of practice. Dr. Zhang has also led a multidisciplinary tumor board that aims to deliver comprehensive care and clinical trial opportunities for patients affected by advanced sarcoma. He is also interested in the translational research in the mechanism of sarcoma lung metastasis, non-invasive liquid biopsy as well as sarcoma immunotherapies, in the hope of moving forward the current knowledge of sarcoma oncogenesis and improving the clinical standard of care for sarcoma patients.
