Research Interests
Our research program aims to understand the pathogenesis and develop intervention strategies for type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. We are particularly interested in the regulation of pancreatic β cell function, mass, and proliferation under physiological and pathological conditions, especially the role of protein acetylation in islet function. In addition, we also focus on the contribution of hepatic gluconeogenesis to hyperglycemia, explore its regulatory mechanism, and screen potential target genes for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
