Research Interests
Professor Li Fen's primary research focus is on fundamental and clinical studies of pediatric cardiovascular disease. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of pediatric cardiovascular disease, particularly in interventional treatment of congenital heart disease, radiofrequency ablation therapy for tachyarrhythmias, and the implantation of cardiac electrophysiological devices.
His research focus mainly includes the following aspects: 1) the developmental mechanism of congenital left ventricular outflow tract and its precision treatment; 2) radiofrequency ablation therapy for pediatric arrhythmia; and 3) "medical-engineering cross" research on pediatric heart disease. He has so far published more than 130 articles as the first or corresponding author, 32 of which are SCI-indexed papers, with a total impact factor of 106, with the highest impact factor of a single article being 16.806.
He has leaded six General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one sub-project of the National Key R&D Program of China, key projects of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission international cooperation projects, and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission key projects.
As the first completer, he attained the Soong Ching Ling Pediatric Medicine Award, the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award, and the Pudong New Area Science and Technology Progress Award. As the second completer, he attained the first prize in the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
