Research Interests
Dr. Zhang serves as an anesthesiologist to perform clinical anesthesia for all kinds of surgical procedure. He has spent many years in clinical pharmacology research. His principal research interests currently are clinical anesthesia and management of cardiac surgery for congenital heart disease, and application of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling and simulation to optimize treatment strategies as well as bridging strategies, trial designs in adult and pediatric patients. In recent years, he is also very interested in the related fields of the respiratory mechanics and cardiovascular function monitoring, which has very close relationship with the children’s growth and development.
