Research Interests
Clinical and genetic research on congenital anomalies of external genitalia Dr. Chen is a director of Urogenital Development Research Center at Shanghai Children’s Hospital. His interests include the genetic research related to congenital anomalies of external genitalia, such as hypospadias, disorders of sex development. He joined the collaborative research related to disease biobank in the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Tokyo, the kinome project from the University of California San Francisco (http://cancer.ucsf.edu/phosphoatlas), as well as the project of an evolutionary database (http://www.treefam.org/) from EBI (The European Bioinformatics Institute). He is mainly focused on exploring genetic architecture of pediatric diseases using high-throughput technologies, genetics, bioinformatics and mouse model.
