Research Interests
Prof. Fu specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of spine diseases, spine trauma and spine deformity, particularly skilled at minimal invasive treatment of spine and he has operated more than 8000 spine surgeries so far. He received specialized spine surgery training in the USA, France, Switzerland and German. As a professor and doctoral supervisor, Prof. Fu has trained more than 40 doctors and masters and he was awarded as excellent teachers of the Second Military Medical University and Changhai Hospital.
The research area mainly focused on the development of surgical robots and artificial intelligence; biological materials; stem cells; nerve repair and function reconstruction; minimally invasive spine surgery; 3D naked-eye surgical endoscope; medical lasers, etc. He has published more than 160 Chinese papers and 30 papers in SCI journals. In addition, He has won 5 projects of “National Natural Science Foundation of China”, 5 projects of “Shanghai Science and Technology Commission Funds”, 1 “Military Key Project” and 1 “National Ministry of Science and Technology Support Project”. Prof. Fu has won many rewards including 1 second prize in military science and technology, 1 first prize in Chinese medical treatment and 4 invention patents.
