Research Interests
We have been making efforts to decipher the roles of cardiac spatial metabolic heterogeneities and the interaction between heart and extracardiac organs in heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias with different etiology, and whereby to develop effective interventions. The contributions of intracellular mitochondrial heterogeneity are paid special attention. Moreover, we have devoted ourselves to identifying the endogenous physiological regulators and effectors of cardiomyocyte proliferation for translational application in the regenerative repair of cardiac diseases with cardiomyocyte attrition.
