Research Interests
Dr. Yong Liu is a professor of Radiation Oncology and the deputy president of Comprehensive Cancer Center of Shanghai General Hospital. He worked as Assistant Professor at the Particle Radiation Oncology of Kyoto University (KUR) and Associate Professor at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. The main research interest of Prof. Liu is the biophysical effects, translational research, and the crossover technologies of cancer radiotherapy. He has done a solid job in photon, particle and boron neutron capture radiotherapy of solid tumors, as well as total body radiotherapy for bone marrow transplant patients. He has published more than 40 articles and granted 6 patents. He is in charge of several projects, such as the Ministry of Education of Japan, the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Moreover, he has been honored as the "Academic Leader Plan" of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, the "Shanghai Pujiang Program", and the "Double Hundred Talents Program" of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
