Research Interests
Dr. Honglin WANG has long been engaged in the research of immunological mechanisms and novel therapeutic targets of chronic skin inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, vitiligo with abundant innovative research findings, including: 1. The discovery that RNA viral infection triggers psoriasis, refreshing psoriasis etiology; 2. The identification of drug candidates (CKBA) that selectively inhibit T17 differentiation, which may be served topically or orally to treat psoriasis or other chronic inflammatory diseases. Since the approval of clinical trials of CKBA ointment for psoriasis on April 15, 2019, followed by a successful Phase I trial, the Phase II trial is on a fast track at Shanghai General Hospital, expecting the expansion of indications in vitiligo.
