Research Interests
Professor Yang specialises in diagnosing and treating coronary and structural heart disease patients and focuses on population and clinical studies on cardiovascular disease. He was the first researcher in the field who illustrated that the risk of blood pressure dipping ratio and dipping status was driven by nighttime blood pressure. He published the results in the top medical journal JAMA. Professor Yang is carrying out cohort studies in the general population and patients with a history of myocardial infarction, focusing on the risk factors related to lifestyle, environment, blood pressure, metabolites, proteomics and genetics and epigenetics.
