Research Interests
Professor Li got MD from China Medical University and PhD in Tongji University. Then she got her postdoctoral fellow training in Ichan Medical School at Mount Sinai. Professor Li’s major research areas include podocyte biology and pathology in glomerular disease, and kidney fibrosis. Her work focus on the mechanisms that mediates podocyte differentiation, proliferation, crosstalk between podocytes and other type of intrinsic glomerular cells. Her major clinical interest includes primary and secondary glomerular nephritis, diabetic kidney disease, renal biopsy pathology, and urolithiasis. She has been funded by multiple national natural science foundation of China grants and has published more than 40 papers in the peer-reviewed scientific journals.
