Research Interests
Since 2014 Jian-Ren Liu has been a Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2003 and trained at Kiel University and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)/Harvard University as a Visiting Scholar. He has 20 years of experience in clinical and basic research of cerebrovascular diseases and has presided over nearly 10 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. His current interest is in clinical and basic stroke research, functional magnetic resonance imaging of neurological disorders, stem-cell-based stroke treatment, and composite nanomaterials in the theranostics of stroke. He has published more than 90 research papers (60+ SCI cited).
