Research Interests
Hematological malignancy remains as critical health challenges. These malignant cells not only shape the microenvironment but also reprogram their metabolic status to face the survival challenge. We have proved that leukemic cells remodel mesenchymal stem cells (Cancel Cell, 2014), lipocytes (Haematologica, 2018, 2020) (Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research, 2016, 2018), regulatory T cells (Frontiers in Genetics, 2020), or inflammatory monocytes (Science Advances, 2021) to survive from chemotherapy or immune surveillance. We also found that miR-29c&b2 encourage the extramedullary infiltration of leukemic cells (Oncogene, 2021). Lately, we are interested in the tumor lipid metabolism and its interaction with immune system in leukemia and lymphoma.
