His first reseach area is plastic and reconstructive surgery about ear and nose, especially about congenital microtia’s basic and clinical study; Secondly, his research is about the tumor of throat, he had done many basic and clinical research of laryngocarcinoma; The third research area of Prof. Shi is the clinical and translational study of turbinate constructed by stem cell tissue engineering technology .He and his team have successfully constructed inferior turbinates using autologous bone marrow stromal stem cells and treated many patients with atrophic rhinitis and Empty Nose Syndrome.
