Biography
Dr. Tang is the Professor and Director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Orthopaedic Implants, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He had been awarded as candidate of New Century Excellent Talent Program of Ministry of Education, New Century Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Program in China. He served as the President of International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS) from 2017-2019, and currently he is serving as the board member of China Biomaterial Society, associate chairman of Chinese Orthopedic Research Society of CAOS, the associated editor-in-chief of Journal of Orthopedic Translation and Bone Research, editorial board members of over 10 international and Chinese journals including JBMR et al. His main research interest is the orthopedic translational study for bone diseases and bone regeneration. He had been the Principal Investigators of over 30 grants including the National Key R&D program and Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has authored or co-authored more than 210 peer-reviewed scientific publications and he is the inventor or co-inventor of 31 patents related to the development of new biomaterials and new drugs.
Research Interests
Translational study of biomaterials and orthopedic implants, stem cells research related to musculoskeletal degeneration and regeneration, bone tumor and cancer related disease.
