Research Interests
Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder characterised by bilateral vestibular schwannoma. Prof. Wang’s team have been dedicated to the fundamental research of the developmental mechanisms and novel treatment strategies of NF2 as well as the clinical research of the selection and optimisation of treatment principles of Vestibular Schwannomas for around 20 years. Four projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China have been hosted by Prof. Wang and more than 30 SCI articles in this field have been published up to now. Besides, he also has make great achievement in lateral skull base surgery and endoscopic ear techniques.The department Prof. Wang work for have been grown into the largest NF2 treatment centre in China nowadays.
