Research Interests
Dr. Lian focuses on the surgical treatment of degenerative spinal disease, such as cervical spondylotic myelopathy, spinal stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, and spinal tuberculosis, tumor, deformity, etc., especially through minimally invasive surgical technique and intra-op 3D navigation, and has made certain progresses in the treatment of infectious spondylitis by percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic debridement and drainage.
At present, Dr. Lian’s research mainly focuses on translational medicine and clinical research of spinal cord injury and spinal infection, with particularly interested in the role of exosomes and bioengineering in the treatment of spinal cord injury and infectious spondylitis. His contributions have been published in Spine, European Spine Journal, Stem Cell Reports, Acta pharmacologica Sinica, Journal of materials chemistry. B, Molecular neurobiology and other journals.
