Research Interests
My long-term research interest is renal physiology and kidney disease. My current work focuses on cellular metabolism, inflammatory mechanism and epigenomics in renal disease. I have a broad background in physiology, with specific training and expertise in the research on physiology, kidney disease, autoimmune disease and cardiovascular disease. In the recent years, my research includes the role of Renalase, Serpinc1, and inflammatory cytokines in hypertension, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease, the lncRNAs in salt-sensitive hypertension, inflammatory mechanisms of renal disease and autoimmunological disease. I have published more than 60 papers, including more than 30 papers on which I was a corresponding author.
