Research Interests
Yang Qingcheng, M.D., is a Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Deputy Director of Orthopedics (Presiding), Secretary of the Orthopaedic Party General Branch, and Deputy Director, Traumatic Orthopedics Clinical Medical Center of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital. He is a member of the Sarcoma Committee of the Chinese Anticancer Society, a member of the Shanghai Medical Association Orthopaedic Branch Bone Oncology Group, a member of the SICOT Chinese Bone Tumor Society Committee, a vice Chairman of the Bone Tumor Working Committee of Orthopedic Doctor Branch of Shanghai Medical Doctor Association, an editor of the Journal of Bone Oncology, a newsletter editor of the Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint Injury, and he is secretary of the editorial board of the International Journal of Orthopedics.
Dr. Yang has long been engaged in clinical and basic research of bone and soft tissue tumors. He specializes in surgical reconstruction and limb salvage treatment of primary limb and pelvic bone and soft tissue tumors, especially in limb salvage biological reconstruction, 3D printing prosthesis reconstruction and so on. Dr. Yang has carried out the surgical treatment of spinal and limb metastatic bone tumors. He is the first person in China that has began to preside over and promoted the development of Multidisciplinary treatment ( MDT ) in diagnosis and treatment in bone and soft tissue tumor. He presided over and participated in several drug and medical device related clinical trials.
In the field of scientific research, Dr. Yang’s main research direction is molecular mechanism research in osteosarcoma and giant cell tumor of bone. He chaired a number of General Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, such as 'Investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying CLTC/TFG axis regulating lung metastasis of osteosarcoma based on PDX model', and some provincial and ministerial projects. He is currently working on two General Projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China. Meanwhile, he also chaired a Shanghai Shenkang three-year action plan project. His research funding accumulated nearly 2 million yuan. In addition, Dr. Yang has published more than 30 SCI papers. The cumulative impact factor is more than 130 points. In the past five years, Dr. Yang has published more than 10 SCI articles in the field of osteosarcoma and giant cell tumor of bone, with the highest impact factor of 14.919. Furthermore, Dr. Yang has won a Shanghai Science and Technology Achievement Award and a utility model patent.
