Research Interests
Professor Zhang Xianlong is the chief of arthroplasty department in Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital. Currently, he is the deputy leader of the Arthroplasty Group of the Orthopaedic Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. Meanwhile, he has published more than 130 SCI papers, and is the deputy editor of the Journal of Arthroplasty. Besides, he held one National Key Research and Development Program, four projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and one research funding for the public welfare industry of the Ministry of Health. He obtained the First Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award in 2020.
In addition, He was awarded the "Silver Snake Award" in 2003, "Pioneer of Scientific and Technological Innovation" in 2013. He also acquired the Shanghai Jiaotong University President's Award in 2019, Shanghai Baosteel Education Award in 2020, and the 5th "People's Famous Doctor·Excellent Achievement" title in 2021.
Clinical specialties: specialize in artificial hip and knee replacement, and robot-assisted minimally invasive artificial joint replacement.
Research direction: the prosthetic joint infection, and development of materials for artificial joint prostheses.
