Research Interests
The role of skeletal muscle in pathogenesis of myasthenia gravis (MG). MG is an antibodies mediated autoimmune disease. As the pathogenic target, skeletal muscle plays essential role in the develop of MG. We have found that carbonic anhydrase III is insufficient in the muscle of MG patients, and play protect role in MG. We are going to research on the protection mechanism of carbonic anhydrase III on the of MG. And the role of autophagy, mitophagy and complement in the autoimmune activation and skeletal muscle damage of MG.
Research on the genetic diagnosis of inherited diseases such as mitochondrial disease, neuromuscular diseases through muscle biopsy, whole exonal sequence. Detect the mechanism of disease in some selected new mutation pedigree.
