Research Interests
Dr. Sun focuses on basic research of nutritional therapy in chronic kidney disease (CKD), including explore the underlying mechanism of muscle wasting; identify the relationship between lncRNAs and muscle atrophy; uncover pyroptosis signaling pathway that may contribute to skeletal muscle injury in CKD models. She also conducts clinical observations on muscle mass and muscle strength in different stages of CKD patients.
She has a broad interest in clinical investigations of vascular access in CKD stage5 patients, such as conditions of artery and vein in arteriovenous (AV) fistula, and vascular calcification.
