Research Interests
Dr. Xi Zhang is a associated researcher fellow in the Xin Hua Hospital. She received her Ph.D. degree from Fudan University School of Public Health. Dr. Zhang worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Zhang’s primary research area is the primary prevention and epidemiology of metabolic related chronic diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, child growth and development, metabolic related cancers, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Zhang’s major research interests include nutritional, metabolic biochemical markers, dietary factors, and lifestyle factors with diabetes (including gestational diabetes), obesity, child growth and development, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Zhang has been PI and Co-PI on three NSFC-funded grands, authored more than thirty peer-reviewed SCI research papers and two book chapters in recent 5 years, among them more than ten are published in JCR Q1 journals.
