The mechanism of musculoskeletal system degenerative diseases
The research group focused on the important scientific issues of degenerative diseases of musculoskeletal system, found that miR-103a, CEBPα, and miR-146a, etc. play important roles in osteoarticular degeneration and revealed the mechanisms.
New strategies for prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis (OA) and osteoporosis (OP)
The research group developed novel strategies for OA and OP including small -molecule targeted drug, stem cells, etc. by cooperation with pharmaceutical research team, biomaterial research team and company.
Stem cell-based bone and joint repair
The research group first labelled articular cartilage stem cells (ACSCs) in vivo, screened out the key regulatory molecule IL-12p40 which damages bone repair of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), promote bone and cartilage formation in vitro and in vivo.
